Software Application

1.Linux Version: Linux 5.10

2. Software Architecture

HDAL is the Hardware Device Abstraction Layer, which is located between the transparent hardware driver layer and the chip driver layer. Through function abstraction in the transparent device layer, a standardized API is made for typical streaming media modules, simplifying the function implementation. SDK takes HDAL as the main body and develops API interfaces that are independent of different chips and shared, which can enable the chip to better perform its performance.

3. Video preview and recording process use cases

XVR system application introduction

The NT98692 EVB has 2 sets of MIPI serial input connectors and 1 set of BT656 parallel input connector:

1. The MIPI input connector can be connected to the MIPI AD daughter board, as shown in the figure below, each daughter board has 2 MIPI ADs, connecting 2 daughter boards with a total of 4 AD processing ICs.

2. The BT656 input connector can be connected to the BT656 AD daughter board, as shown in the figure below, there are 2 BT656 AD processing ICs on the lower daughter board.

3. In addition, the NT98692 MIPI input can also receive HDMI to MIPI signals, as shown in the figure below, the lower right daughter board, and its HDMI support capability is up to 4K@60.

4. The image is output from HDMI and can be switched between full screen or split screen. The following example shows a four-split screen display.
